Bookish Amazon Prime Day

It’s one of the best days of the year- Amazon Prime Day! Hurray!
Although delayed by months this year, it has finally arrived. There are many blog posts out there listing all the great deals, but I know it can be hard to find lists attuned to book-related deals. So, without further ado, here are my favorite bookish Prime Day finds!

Amazon Prime Membership

Kindle

Kindles are amazing devices for all book lovers. They are light, hold tons of books, and there are always deals on kindle edition books. I bought my kindle a couple of years ago on Prime Day, unsure how I would feel about it. Let me tell you- the best thing I’ve ever bought. I travel a lot, so it’s nice to have something light to bring with me that will hold multiple books! I can also read when all the lights are turned off on redeye flights, which is a great bonus.

I’ve bought kindle books (bestsellers!) for as little at $0.99! Yes, you read that right- less than a dollar for bestsellers. Amazon runs both daily and monthly deals that cannot be passed up. You can also enroll in “Kindle Unlimited,” which will give you access to over a million books for free!

Let’s hop right into the different types of Kindles!

Kindle (basic)

Prime Day Deal– $59.99 (Originally $89.99)

Although the most basic model, this is a great choice. I bought the basic kindle a few years ago, and it’s still running strong.

The Kindle has an adjustable front light and a battery that lasts for weeks! You have the choice of two colors– black or white.

Kindle Paperwhite

Prime Day Deal– $79.99 (Originally $129.99)

The next step up from the basic kindle is the Paperwhite model.

With this version, you’ll have the choice of 8GB or 32GB of storage which is great if you plan on adding audiobooks, magazines, newspapers, etc. There is also a choice of four colors– black, plum, sage, and twilight blue.

The Kindle Paperwhite is waterproof (great for those who like to read in the bath or at the pool/ beach) and has a higher screen resolution.

Kindle Oasis

Prime Day Deal– $179.99 (Originally $249.99)

The most advanced version is slightly larger than the other models- 7in vs 6in. With the Kindle Oasis, you get the convenience of page turn buttons and you can adjust the orientation of the pages.

One of the best features it offers, in my opinion, is the adjustable warm light. You can adjust your screen from white light to warm amber light- which I much prefer, especially at night!

This version comes in two colors– graphite and champagne gold.

You really can’t go wrong with any of the options. If you’re on a budget or just don’t know if a kindle is right for you, I highly recommend the basic version. It’s the one I have, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with it! It lasts so long without having to charge it and holds plenty of books at one time.

Book Cart

Prime Day Deal– $30.34 (Originally $39.99)

If you’re on “bookstagram,” chances are you’ve been seeing 3-tier carts all over! I finally caved and bought one a couple of months ago, and I absolutely love it. It’s so cute and offers great storage in addition to my bookshelves. I usually keep my monthly TBR books on the cart.

Neck Reading Light

Prime Day Deal– $11.99 (Originally $14.99)

This reading light is a must if you read at night! It has 3 brightness settings and the arms can be adjusted to any angle. The light is lightweight and comfortable. I use mine every night! I find it much more user friendly than the kind that clips onto your book.

Book Ends

Prime Day Deal– $11.30 (Originally $14.13)

These Amazon Basic bookend supports are perfect to use on your bookshelves and even your desk. I’m very particular about keeping my books upright, so these are a must!
