An enemy turned lover romance you won’t want to put down!

Synopsis:

Alex Claremont-Diaz is not only the First Son of the United States but also the son of the first female President. He may be a college boy, but who would turn down living in the White House?!

When Alex has to attend a royal wedding where he’ll be in the presence of his arch-nemesis, Prince Henry, he’s not happy. They’ve been rivals since they were young, hating each other because of their differing personalities. Alex finds Henry bland and like a cardboard cut out of what a prince should be. When their feud takes a nasty turn at the reception, they end up in quite a brawl that causes the entire wedding cake to collapse on top of them. The tabloids go crazy over this massive headline.

The only way to fix this scandal for both the First Family and the Royal Family is a made-up “bromance,” photographed and published, featuring Alex and Henry. This means the two of them are required to spend even more time together!

The more time they are together, the more they realize that maybe their hatred isn’t exactly what they thought. As the months progress, they dive deeper and deeper into their friendship…. until it turns into something way more!

How will they navigate this new romance as Alex’s mom begins her campaign for a second term and Henry battles his duties as a royal? Will coming out to their families derail everything for them?

Review:

Let me just say, I ended up loving this book. But, I must admit, the first few chapters were not my favorite. Throughout these chapters, we dive into the feud that Alex and Henry share. To be honest, I found it a little cringy and childish how it’s portrayed to us. It took me a while to get going with this book, but I promise it is absolutely worth pushing through.

Once that section of the book is over and we come to the obvious conclusion that they’re attracted to each other, it gets so good. The issues McQuinston covers in the novel are so real and current and placed into a fairytale-like read that I loved. She narrows in on a modern-day setting with lots of pop culture references, making it very relatable to the book’s audience despite it being about people with more “elite” status.

BONUS– For those who love a good romance side to a story, this book does not shy away from any detail. There’s some very steamy chapters!

Conclusion:

I love this book! “Red White and Royal Blue” is an easy, fun and relatable read. I definitely recommend picking up a copy!

This is a great book to read with the election quickly approaching!
